This scarlet canvas duffel once belonged to the 1992 Rome Wolves Men’s Track & Field team—champions of the Region 6-AAA and legends on the red Georgia clay. Stuffed with spikes, split sheets, and the dreams of state glory, these bags were handed out at the start of the season by Coach Barkley himself in the back gym—each one stitched with pride and worn down by grit.

That year, the Wolves went undefeated in every relay heat, led by senior sprinter Donovan “Dash” Mills, whose 400m anchor leg was clocked at a school-record 47.88. Every zipper still echoes the chants from the bleachers, every scuff tells a story of late-night laps, stretching under fluorescent lights, and bus rides down Highway 27 with the windows cracked.

Only a few remain. This isn’t just a gym bag—it’s a relic from a team that ran like wolves through the pine air of Northern Georgia.
